A Special Message From Lady King
Greetings Dear People of God,
It is with great pleasure that I serve along in Ministry with this great Man of God, Elder Derrick King; my husband and friend. I fully embrace this next chapter in our lives by continuing to serve and encourage the Churched and Unchurched Families in our communities. God has thoroughly equipped us to mentor, and share His Unfailing Word with Couples and Young people, who are in need of Godly examples in these trying last days. Our Lord himself instructed Peter; “When thou art converted strengthen thy brethren” (Luke 22:32); and with that being said, it is my desire to go beyond the traditional walls of Churchdom, to embrace all God’s people with love, and the wisdom to walk in His Knowledge.
About Evangelist Thelma (Harris) King
Evangelist Thelma (Harris) King was born and raised in Marianna, AR; where she graduated from Lee Senior High School. While attending college at the University of Central AR, she met Air Force Airman Derrick W. King and they married in June of 1987. In November of 1987, the Kings relocated to Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. It was in this small town of Illinois that their lives would change forever. Thelma's experience of being raised under Godly principles in home as a child, and the teachings that her mother (Evangelist Ruthie Harris) had instilled in her, would take root, grow and flourish as they began to attend the O'Fallon Christian Church, in O'Fallon, IL. It is here that her husband became a born again believer, and their faith was increased as they received good training, discipline, sound doctrine and the experience needed to help prepare them for where they are now.
As God equipped Thelma in the spiritual, so did He prepare her in the natural. She became a CEO of a successful daycare on Scott Air Force Base. After many years of being out of school, she returned to college and completed her degree to become a Registered Nurse. Thelma is a Nurse Manager by occupation, and has been successfully employed at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, IL for 17 years. She is the mother of two; a daughter - Dana Renee and a son Dalen Wayne King. Thelma has been married to her best friend Derrick, saved and serving the Lord for the past 27 years.
